New XBA suspends operations

The new Extreme Basketball Association has apparently suspended its operations less than two weeks into its first season. The league, which operates in five cities in the region, sent a fax to the management office of the Huron Arena saying operations were being suspended. A financial audit is going to take place but it is doubtful the XBA will continue, said League Commissioner John Jordan. The league was scheduled to play games on Monday in Huron and Jamestown, N.D.
