Magic City moves into first place- January 9, 2003The Magic City Snow Bears defeated the Black Hills Heat 100-76 tonight before a boisterous crowd at the Minot Civic Auditorium in Minot North Dakota. The Bears have a perfect 4-0 record and take sole possession of first place in the XBA. Tyrone Mack started out the night on fire for the Snow Bears scoring 14 first quarter points including four 3 pointers and propelling his team to a 29 - 15 lead at the quarter break. The second period saw the Heats Mitchell Old School Wiggins go off for 10 points in the quarter but the Bears continued to keep pace and went to half time with a commanding 48-32 lead. The third and fourth quarter saw much of the same with the home team pulling away with an easy win. Tyrone Mack led all Snow Bear scorers with 23 followed by Mac Irvin with 21. For the Heat, Wiggins, the 42 year old player/coach and ex Houston Rocket had 21 to lead the Heat. |
