She also appeared in 20 games for the Liberty in the WNBA. Her stats read 1.2 points and 1.5 boards per appearance. Last year (a year after she left the college) Cain was drafted by New York Liberty (WNBA) in first round (7th overall). The former University of Tennessee standoutis in her second season in pro basketball. Among other achievements her college team won SEC Tournament in 2008, 2010 and 2011.

The Connecticut Sun finished their pre-season campaign on a high note. They fired past the Minnesota Lynx at the Target Center. Tan White (5'7''-PG-82, agency: Josep and Nicolas, college: Mississippi St.) stepped up with 12 points to pace the winners.

The Connecticut Sun finished their pre-season campaign on a high note. They fired past the Minnesota Lynx at the Target Center. Tan White (5'7''-PG-82, agency: Josep and Nicolas, college: Mississippi St.) stepped up with 12 points to pace the winners. The Lynx spurred ahead in the opening quarter. They gained a 23:20 lead after the starting quarter. The Sun however upend the tempo in the second period. Connecticut fired 28 points in the next period and established a 48:45 halftime lead. The Lynx bounced back in the third term. The hosts erased the deficit and managed to eke out a 2-point lead at the final intermission. The Sun took over again in the fourth period. They dominate on the court outscoring the home side 20:10 and cruising to the victory. Ashley Walker (6'2''-F/C-87, college: California) posted 11 points and 10 boards, while Allison Hightower (5'10''-G-88, agency: Josep and Nicolas, college: LSU) finished with 10 points for Connecticut. Seimone Augustus (6'0''-SF-84, college: LSU) responded with 15 points for the Lynx. Lindsay Whalen (5'9''-PG-82, college: Minnesota) chipped in 14 points in the losing effort.
