This past season went well, except for a few minor problemsand one MAJOR one ! Quite a few of our players moved up to the pro leagues, which is the objective of KBDL.
The Lebanon Lancers, once again, was the KBDL Champions. Led by Mark Bell, they won the Bluegrass Conference championship and went on to win it all.
The Coach of the Year award went to Scott Krauss of the Cincinnati Stallions. Scott worked with Kevin Listerman and took the Stallions from the idea stage to the Appalachian Conference Championship. Scott and the4 Stallions did not appear in the championship games due to the fact that 6 of their players signed and had left already, leaving the Stallions without a viable team. Again, thats the goal of the KBDL, SoGreat Job, Scott ! ! !
Kevin Listerman was selected as Executive of the Year. Kevin was responsible for the Creation of the Cincinnati Stallions, moved the Generals from Southern Indiana to Southern Ohio (coming in 3rd in the League) as well as set up and successfully ran our first Exposure Camp. Kevin was also responsible for getting the Thunder games on TV.
I would like to say that Kevin was responsible for the Tankers, a new team that was started in Harrodsburg, KY. Unfortunately, that debacle was all mine. Due to horrible mismanagement, the Tankers died a well deserved death and only the lawyers will survive.
Looking forward to next season already with a new team in Louisville to replace the Tankers, a few new faces and a lot more excitement.
