KBDL - Men Basketball
For the second year in a row, the Lancers come away as the league Champions. - Jun 23, 2009 (by Thom McQueen)
On a controversial (and under protest !) call with 6.4 seconds on the clock, the Lebanon Lancers beat the Generals for a shot at the season Champions, the RiverCity Gamblers. The Generals were missing four of their star players for the game (one went to Japan, two to Europe and one was at a NBDL Camp - if you are going to miss players, thats the way to do it !)
The Gamblers arrived with the best season record in the league and gave up two too many points to the hard pressing Lancers

The Gamblers arrived with the best season record in the league and gave up two too many points to the hard pressing Lancers. The Lancers, led by Michael Douglas (Kentucky State), Jute Bell and Elton Scott (6'6''-F-76, college: W.Virginia) were seemingly unstoppable. Congrats (Again !) to Coach Mark Bell and the Lebanon Lancers.

formed Tankers also have three losses while the Lebanon Lancers, Thunder and Stallions have split their games (see web site for scores, etc). A few personnel additions should even out the talent for the remainder of the season. The Tankers moved Julius Yeast, college: Ohio St

KBDL Season Start !! - Mar 30, 2009 (by Thom McQueen)
with six teams staffed and ready to go. 'This looks like it will be our best season yet, as far as the talent level is concerned', said Kevin Listerman , league Vice President. And thats saying a lot because from last years crop, Boris Siakam (6'7''-F-85, college: W.Kentucky) became the co-MVP in the ABA, while helping his team to the ABA Championship; 7 ft James Cripe (7'0''-C-84, college: N.Kentucky) went to Japan and now possibly to the NBDL, and many other success stories

'The only regret that we have going in to this season' said Commissioner Cliff Todd, 'is that we put two solid teams on hold to assist the buildup and strength of the two new teams. We Could have had all eigth team strong, including the new ones.'
