Meanwhile the organization is sending a team to the famed California Summer Pro League that is held in Long Beach each year in July.

The organization will seek a request to the Summer Pro League and NCAA to allow high school ballplayers to participate without losing their college basketball scholarship. 6"3 Hakeem Hickman of Harrison, Tenn and Tyler Davidson (6'5''-F) of Southern California are two players the Gwizzlies want to suit up. Tyler is the son of Doug Davidson and Hakeem is the son of Rev. Donnie and Irma Malone Hickman,and Embry Malone nephew. Gwizzlies staffers think Hakeem can play minor league pro basketball right now. Gwizzlies GM/Coach Malone has been profoundly busy recently.Malone is writing a book, "The Three Dimensions of Life in Dekalb County, Georgia". Dr. Martin Luther King jr. Once gave a speech called the "Three dimensions of a complete life", inspired Malone to write. In June, Malone will host his first annual youth basketball camp at Gordon College in Barnesville, Georgia. Just last week, a future NBA Hall of Famer urge Malone to seek a Head Coaching job in the NBA D- League. "I think good name recognition can open up doors in all aspects of life" says Malone.

The American National Basketball League will which begin play on November 25th, 2006 at three basketball venues in metro Atlanta, Georgia. The following teams will participate in the first official season of the ANBL--Marietta Runners, Decatur Daredevils, Gwinnett Greyhounds, Atlanta Speedboys Georgia Gwizzlies and Jonesboro Stars.

On November 4th the ANBL will hold an open tryout for interested ballplayers and free agents. In March 2007 playoffs and Championship ballgame at a venue in downtown Atlanta.Darrell Hariston, Duwan Jackson and Shaun Jones all former Georgia Gwizzlies ballplayers or coaches will coach the new ANBL teams.General admission to ANBL ballgames will be $5.00, except ballgames that have recording artist ater each ballgame. Both ballgames will have a local recording artist to perform, "Ladies make that shot contest" and the Sugar Bears Dance team will be part of the entertainment.

Player's invited include, Kennesaw State University 6"5 guard Kenan Knight, Clayton State University guard 6"1 Maxi Rios, small foward 6"7 John Beugnot from Birmingham Southern, Thomas Vigliano,a 6"9 230 power foward,from East Tennessee State, 6"9 250 Brad Nuckles, 6"9 Terrence Woodyard, 6"10 Jonathan Woodyard , 6"4 Terico Smothers, 6"6 Jason Stewart and 6"3 Ardrell Hoard will be offered contracts.
Georgia Gwizzlies staff call Ardrell Hoard the "best talented guard in Atlanta,Southeast that has never played a day in the NBA". Hoard once was a ESPN slam dunk contest winner and a standout in the CBA,FIBA. The Chicago native's reputation on the playgrounds reaches from Stone Mountain Center court to the Chicago summer league.The Gwizzlies organization is lobbying the Atlanta Hawks to take a look at Hoard, citing that Charlie Criss, a former Hawk ballplayer did not get to the NBA until a few months from his 30 birthday.

The American National Basketball League Georgia Gwizzlies will be putting on a heavy recruiting campaign to hire Los Angeles resident and sports excecutive Anne Valarie Boisdin as the organization's Vice-president of Operations for the upcoming ANBL 2006-07 season. Ms Boisdin is a former pro basketball player herself having competed in the FIBA and would bring great experience to the Gwizzlies, that range from working in FIBA to working at the presitigious California Summer Pro League that consist of NBA players, coaches and personel. In 2003 Ms Boisdin was the Community Affairs Director for the Long Beach Jam,who now are members in the NBA D-League.
The ANBL regular season will start November 20, 2006 and the Gwixxlies are working diligently to bring in Ms Boisdin. Part of her package deal would be to have Ms Boisdin host her own weekly cable TV station talk show. The Georgia Gwizzlies are the number one team in all men's minor league sports that have the most women working in it's organization in America.

The Gwizzlies have played in the pasr two California Summer Pro leagues that feature NBA ballplayers and against top notch WBA teams, including the Rome Gladiators, who are managed and coached by Harold Ellis, the Atlanta Hawks minor league scout coach. The ANBL season will start November 20th and the exhibition games must be scheduled before for that date by respective ANBL teams.
Chicago,Seattle and Georgia all are located in cities that presently have NBA teams - Chicago Bulls,Seattle Supersonics and Atlanta Hawks.

The American National Basketball League has contacted the goverment officials in Louisville, Kentucky and an ownership group from Roanoke,Virginia about possible teams in those cities. Louisville officials were very interested and would welcome an ANBL Kentucky team.

Louisville officials were very interested and would welcome an ANBL Kentucky team. Roanoke officials also showed a strong interest in acquiring the rights to a franchise.
The ANBL will field only 6 to 8 teams each pro basketball season with the 2006-07 League teams to be announced in August.
