As we have posted down, the Southeast Texas Mavericks ended their regular season on Saturday night with a clear success over the Arlington Bulldogs, that confirmed thei #1 ranking. The team has a 23-3 record now, with a 50-5 record in two seasons in the ABA. At home, the Mavs have an All-Time Record of 34-2 at Ford Arena in two seasons. This is a damned good record for the team coached by Steve Tucker , and there is no doubt the they deserved the bye to the ABA Quarterfinals [read more]
As we have posted down, the Southeast Texas Mavericks ended their regular season on Saturday night with a clear success over the Arlington Bulldogs, that confirmed thei #1 ranking. The team has a 23-3 record now, with a 50-5 record in two seasons in the ABA. At home, the Mavs have an All-Time Record of 34-2 at Ford Arena in two seasons. This is a damned good record for the team coached by Steve Tucker , and there is no doubt the they deserved the bye to the ABA Quarterfinals. It is not a case that this team is ranked by various sources among the top minor league organizations in the country. Furthermore, the Mavs will have a their own Arena next season, and this tells a lot about how solid is the situation there. The next game for the SETX Mavericks will be the ABA Final 8 Playoff game on Monday night, March 15th at the Parker Multipurpose Center on the campus of Lamar State College-Port Arthur. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 PM.

Kenny Dawkins (5'9''-G-87, college: Lamar) led the Mavs with 23 points and was the game's MVP. Jon Rogers (6'9''-F/C-84, college: Valdosta St.) chipped in 21 points and 10 rebounds. Jermaine Blackburn (6'7''-G/F-83, agency: Liman Sports, college: Boise St.) and Josh Pace (6'6''-G-83, college: Syracuse) added 19 points each. Reigning League MVP DeRon Rutledge (6'6''-F-75, college: Tex.A&M-Kingsv.) followed up with 16 points and 7 rebounds.
