Carla Morrow
Carla Morrow was named Assistant Coach for the Chicago Sky. A veteran coach, Carla Morrow spent 11 seasons as Assistant Coach at Xavier University. Throughout Carla Morrow 's tenure at Xavier, the Musketeers put together a 184-128 overall record and 87-69 conference record. She helped Xavier capture six A-10 Championships and advance to four NCAA Tournaments highlighted by an Elite Eight appearance in 2010. Before joining the coaching staff at Xavier, Carla Morrow was the Director of Basketball Operations at the University of Colorado. 'Coach Carla Morrow 's extensive experience and vast knowledge will help elevate the productivity of our team,' said General Manager & Head Coach, Amber Stocks. 'Through her attention to detail and organization, she will play a key role in game preparation and advance player development.' Prior to her coaching career, Carla Morrow had a decorated career as a basketball player. In 2002, she signed a free agent contract with the WNBA's Seattle Storm, becoming the first player from her alma mater, the University of Tulsa, to sign a professional contract. Carla Morrow was a guard at Tulsa from 1998- 2002 and was the first player in Tulsa history with 1,000 points and 600 rebounds in a career. She finished her career at Tulsa ranking second in 3-point field goals (122), total field goals (427), rebounds (642), steals (201) and games played on the Tulsa career charts and was third in scoring with 1,115 points. Carla Morrow graduated from Tulsa in 2002 with a Bachelor's Degree in Sports Management and received a Master's Degree from Missouri State in Education. 'I am grateful and excited to have the opportunity to work for the Chicago Sky organization and along side a proven coach in Amber Stocks,' said Carla Morrow . 'I would like to thank Brian Neal at Xavier University for preparing me over the last six six years to be ready when a great opportunity came my way.'

Atlanta Dream waived 24-year old center Rachel Hollivay (193-93, college: Rutgers, agency: ProDep Management). But in 7 WNBA games she recorded just 1.3ppg and 1.3rpg. Hollivay managed to play in three leagues in two countries last year (!!!). Hollivay ended the last season at CREF Hola in Spanish LFB where in two games she averaged only 1.0ppg and 3.5rpg. Atlanta Dream cut 24-year old guard Brianna Kiesel (170-93, college: Pittsburgh). But in 8 WNBA games she averaged just 1.5ppg and 1.1apg. Kiesel managed to play in three leagues in two countries last year (!!!). The last season Kiesel played at UNI Gyor in Hungarian A Division where in 26 games she had 11.2ppg, 3.2rpg, 3.5apg and 1.8spg. She helped them to make it to the semifinals. Karima Christmas (6'0''-F-89, college: Duke) scored 24 points and the Dallas Wings beat the Connecticut Sun 96-82 Sunday for their fourth win in a row. Theresa Plaisance (6'5''-F-92, college: LSU, agency: ProDep Management) added 16 points while Skylar Diggins-Smith had 15 points and nine assists for Dallas (8-8).
