The Atlanta Dream signed center Markeisha Gatling (6'5''-C-92, college: N.Carolina St., agency: LBM Management) and guard Whitney Knight (6'3''-G-93, college: FGCU) to training camp contracts.
Gatling, who was selected 10th overall in the 2014 WNBA Draft, returns to the Dream after signing with the team halfway through the 2016 WNBA season. She averaged 2.6 points in 10.5 minutes of play in 16 games for Atlanta.
Knight, a guard, played for both the Los Angeles Sparks and the San Antonio Stars in 2016. The Florida Gulf Coast graduate appeared in just 10 games averaging 0.6 points. The Dream home opener is scheduled for Sunday, May 21 against the visiting Chicago Sky.
