The Indiana Fever have signed forward Marissa Coleman (6'1''-G/F-87, college: Maryland) to a multi-year contract extension, it has been announced by President and General Manager Kelly Krauskopf. Per team policy, terms of the contract are not announced. Currently in her eighth WNBA season, Coleman has been a starter with the Fever for three seasons, including a trip to the WNBA Finals in 2015. Regarded for her scoring ability from 3-point range, Coleman earned her first WNBA All-Star selection last season while finishing third among Indiana scoring leaders with 10.4 points per game. The product of Maryland and the second overall draft selection in the 2009 WNBA Draft, Coleman's career has surged with Indiana, after previous stints in Washington and Los Angeles. She made a total of 34 regular season starts through five seasons with the Mystics and Sparks, and appeared in 11 playoff games. In three seasons so far with Indiana, she has started 84 of 97 games, and started all 16 playoff games in 2014 and 2015.
