Los Angeles Sparks added to their roster 29-year old French international center Sandrine Gruda (193-84kg-87, agency: Comsport). It is actually her comeback to Los Angeles Sparks as she has played here before. The last season she played at UMMC Ekaterinburg in Russian PBL. In 9 games she recorded very impressive stats: 16.7ppg, 6.8rpg, 1.1apg and 1.3spg. Gruda also played 10 games in Euroleague where she averaged 9.7ppg, 6.2rpg and 1.9apg.
In 2007 Gruda was drafted by Connecticut Sun (WNBA) in first round (13th overall). She was voted Eurobasket.com All-Olympic Games Honorable Mention in 2016.
Gruda has been also a member of French international program for some years. She played for French senior team this year and previously for U18 National Team in 2005.
Gruda represented France at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) this year. Her team got to the Semifinals and her stats at that event were 6 games: 9.7ppg, 6.3rpg, 2.0apg, 1.2spg, FGP: 48.1%, FT: 46.2%.
Gruda has played also professionally in France (Valenciennes USVO).
