Nirra Fields
Phoenix Mercury released 23-year old Canadian international guard Nirra Fields (175-93, college: UCLA). Fields played there also last season. But in four WNBA games she had just 0.8ppg.
This summer she was drafted by Phoenix Mercury (WNBA) in third round (32nd overall).
Fields just graduated from Univ.of Calif.at Los Angeles and it is her first season in pro basketball. She played in the final of Pac-12 Tournament in 2013 and 2016. Fields was voted All-Pac-12 1st Team in 2015 and 2016 at her college time.
Fields has been also a member of Canadian international program for some years. She has regularly played for Canadian senior team since 2013 and previously for U19 National Team back in 2011. Fields represented Canada at the FIBA Americas in Edmonton (Canada) last year. Her team won Gold and her stats at that event were 6 games: 6.8ppg, 2.2rpg, 2.3apg, FGP: 45.8%, 3PT: 14.3%, FT: 81.3%.
On Fields: A high-scoring point guard with great personality and huge international experience.
