Harding
New York Liberty waived 32-year old Belarusian international guard Lindsey Harding (173-63kg-84, college: Duke). She played there also last season. In 5 WNBA games she recorded 3.6ppg, 2.8rpg and 3.6apg.
Harding managed to play in four leagues in three countries last year (!!!).
The last season Harding played at Dynamo Kursk (PBL) in Russian league. In 14 games she averaged 8.0ppg, 3.1rpg, 3.3apg and 1.4spg. She helped them to make it to the semifinals. Harding also played 11 games in Euroleague where she averaged 6.2ppg, 3.5rpg, 2.7apg and 1.3spg. She contributed to her team making it to the quarterfinals. Harding also played at Gelistirenler (KBSL) in Turkish league that season. In 5 games she averaged 11.6ppg, 3.4rpg and 2.4apg.
The previous (14-15) season she played at Edirne Bld. Edirnespor (KBSL) in Turkish league. In 26 games she averaged impressive 16.7ppg, 4.6rpg, 4.0apg and 1.0spg in 2014-15 season. A very spectacular year in her career as she was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Turkish TKBL Honorable Mention.
In the summer of 2014 Harding played at Los Angeles Sparks. In 33 WNBA games she averaged 5.6ppg, 1.7rpg, 3.1apg and 1.0spg in 2014 season. She contributed to her team making it to the quarterfinals.
In 2007 Harding was drafted by Phoenix Mercury (WNBA) as #1 pick overall.
She attended Duke University and it is her tenth season in pro basketball.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others Harding played in the final of Turkish TKBL in 2013. She was also voted Eurobasket.com All-Lithuanian LMKL Player of the Year and Eurobasket.com All-BWBL Import Player of the Year back in 2010. Harding represented Belarus at the European Championships in Hungary and Romania last year. Her team got to the Semifinals and her stats at that event were 10 games: 11.2ppg, 4.6rpg, 5.3apg, FGP: 44.2%, 3PT: 42.1%, FT: 70.6%.
Harding has played previously professionally in other WNBA teams (Minnesota Lynx and Atlanta Dream) and Turkey (Mersin and Galatasaray).
On Harding: A dynamic player with tremendous speed ... one of the best defenders on the team ... often is assigned to the opponent's top scoring threat.

Parker's layup helps Sparks sweep Mercury - 3 days ago
Candace Parker (6'4''-C/F-86, college: Tennessee) hobbled into the postgame press conference with ice bags over both knees and slung over her left shoulder. But soreness was a small price to pay for a return trip to the WNBA Finals. Parker drove for a layup with 2.9 seconds to play, giving the Los Angeles Sparks an 89-87 win and three-game sweep of the Phoenix Mercury in the WNBA semifinals Sunday. Parker, a two-time league Most Valuable Player, finished with 21 points and 11 assists. The...   [read more]

Moore, Fowles help Lynx sweep Mystics, return to WNBA Finals - 3 days ago
The Minnesota Lynx are back in the WNBA Finals after completing a semifinal sweep of the Washington Mystics on Sunday. That doesn't mean it was easy. Maya Moore (6'0''-SG-89, college: Connecticut) scored 21 points, Sylvia Fowles (6'6''-C-85, college: LSU) added 17 points and 14 rebounds, and the Lynx sealed their place in a third straight finals after pulling away to an 81-70 win in Game 3. Seimone Augustus (6'0''-SF-84, college: LSU) added 18 points to help make sure Minnesota will have...   [read more]

Fowles, Moore lift Lynx over Mystics, 93-83 - 6 days ago
In the precious few minutes newly crowned MVP Sylvia Fowles (6'6''-C-85, college: LSU) sat on the bench during Game 2 of the WNBA semifinals, she allowed herself to soak up the raucous atmosphere of the University of Minnesota's Williams Arena and marvel at just how loud 9,000 fans can get. "You know why it's loud, Syl?" said teammate Lindsay Whalen (5'9''-PG-82, college: Minnesota), a former Golden Gophers All-American. "Because it's 'The Barn.'" Fowles scored 25 points to lead the Lynx...   [read more]
