Silver Stars re-sign Ziomara Morrison - Feb 6, 2013

The San Antonio Silver Stars re-signed Ziomara Morrison (6'4''-C-89, agency: Regeneracom Sports). The Chilean centre will enter her second straight season with the Silver Stars. Last season Morrison notched 2.1 points and 1.3 rebounds per game in the WNBA. She is currently playing for Rivas Ecopolis in Spain. Ziomara Morrison posts 15.0 points, 9.5 boards and 1.0 assist per game in LFB. Previously the centre had spells for Banco di Sicilla Ribera and Arranz-Jopisa Burgos.
The Silver Stars also signed Julie Wojta (6'0''-G/F-89, agency: LBM Management, college: Wisc.-Green Bay) and Yvonne Turner (5'9''-G-87, agency: Regeneracom Sports, college: Nebraska) to the training camp contracts.
Julie Wojta appeared in just one game in the WNBA last season. She played that game for the Lynx. She is currently playing for Belfius Namur in Belgium. Her stats read 15.7 points and 7.7 rebounds in D1. She also tallied 14.5 points and 7.7 rebounds per appearance in EuroCup.
Yvonne Turner spends the current season in Russia. She plays for Dynamo-GUVD Novosibirsk. Her stats read 13.5 points, 4.0 assists and 3.3 boards in EuroCup. Yvonne Turner also delivers 14.5 points, 3.4 assists and 3.0 rebounds per game in PBL.

Despite a monster game from forward Tina Charles (6'4''-C-88, college: Connecticut) the New York Liberty was edged in overtime for the second game in a row, falling to the Atlanta Dream, 85-79, on Tuesday afternoon at Madison Square Garden for School Day presented by Indigo Rein. Sparks close 1st half on 18-2 run; cruise by Sky 93-80 - May 25, 2016

Candace Parker (6'4''-C/F-86, college: Tennessee) scored 17 of her 26 points in the first half and the Los Angeles Sparks used a decisive second quarter to cruise to a 93-80 win over the Chicago Sky on Tuesday night. Jamie Weisner joins Washington Mystics - May 25, 2016

Washington Mystics agreed terms with 22-year old Canadian international point guard Jamie Weisner (178-94, college: Oregon State, agency: LBM Management). She moved there from Connecticut Sun (WNBA), but was not approved after all. This season Weisner played at Oregon State University.
