Ivory Latta
The Washington Mystics announced the signing of Ivory Latta (5'6''-PG-84, college: N.Carolina). The point guard is currently playing in Israel. Ivory Latta is the member of Maccabi Ramat Hen squad. She tallies 10.3 points, 5.3 assists and 2.5 boards per game in Israeli League. Ivory Latta spent the last WNBA season with the Tulsa Shock. Her stats read 14.3 points, 3.3 assists and 2.2 boards per appearance. Previously Ivory Latta had stints with Ted Kayseri, Tarsus Belediyesi, Mersin, Atlanta Dream, Ceyhan, Elitzur Holon and Detroit Shock. She was named All-Israeli League Guard of the Year in 2011. Ivory Latta also made it into All-Turkish TBBL 1st Team in 2010. The guard was trumped All-ACC Player of the Year in 2006 back at her college time.

Logan native and Ohio State product Katie Smith will be the next coach of the New York Liberty, according to media reports. Smith has been an assistant with the Liberty since she retired as a WNBA player in 2013. She was promoted to associate head coach in 2016. She takes over for Bill Laimbeer, who served as Liberty coach from 2013-17.
