Joel Smith
The Santa Barbara Breakers announce the signing of former Lompoc High School and University of Washington standout Joel Smith (6'4''-G-84). Smith, who finished up his collegiate career at Chaminade University in Hawaii, will be a Breakers uniform for tonight game against the Ventura County Jets. Breakers' Coach Curt Pickering had this to say about Smith and the great athleticism and leaping ability that he bestows, ' We will throw Joel into the mix and have the opportunity to see where and how his skills fit in with our team. I have no doubts that he will contribute immediately. Plus, I have always said that coaches son's have an edge when it comes to the game. They have been around it their whole life and the game is instinctive.'

Curt Pickering has just informed Usbasket.com that five moths ago the 2013 WCBL season ended with another win of his Santa Barbara Breakers team. Santa Barbara Breakers participated at the International Tournament - 6 Years ago
Santa Barbara Breakers participated at the International Tournament in Holland. The American side finished on the 6th place. KK Bosna beat Santa Barbara Breakers102:96 in the last game. Sarajevo KK Bosna won the first period 28-26 and dominated the second frame. The European team added a 26-17 rally for 11-point advantage at the halftime.
