The Santa Barbara Breakers, coming off a 113-105 Win over the Los Angeles Advantage, play this Saturday night at San Marcos High School (4750 Hollister Avenue) vs the Hollywood Shooting Stars. The Stars won their season opener 83-71 vs the Long Beach Rockets at Santa Monica College Gymnasium. Tip-off will be at 7:05pm.
Greg Somogyi (7'3''-C-89, college: UCSB) played in his first professional game. The shot-blocker from Budapest, Hungary, scored a double-double with 10 points, 10 rebounds and 4 blocked shots. Leading the way for the Breakers was former Golden State Warrior/USC Star, Jerry Dupree. JD scored 31 points off fast breaks and his deadly turnaround jumper. Tim Taylor (6'3''-G-82, college: Wayne St., NE), the Breakers all-time leading scorer, brought his always-consistent game with 23 points and 5 assists. Newcomer James Nunnally (6'7''-G/F-90), tallied 21 points, 8 rebounds and 2 steals in his first professional basketball game.

Santa Barbara Breakers participated at the International Tournament - 4 Years ago

Santa Barbara Breakers participated at the International Tournament in Holland. The American side finished on the 6th place. KK Bosna beat Santa Barbara Breakers102:96 in the last game. Sarajevo KK Bosna won the first period 28-26 and dominated the second frame. The European team added a 26-17 rally for 11-point advantage at the halftime.
