Florida is not only known for its abundance of sunshine, but also the vast amount of talent shining throughout the state from top to bottom.

The Women's Blue Chip Basketball League (WBCBL) summer season of 2017 is promising to place on display some of the finest talent that Florida has to offer in women's basketball.

With more than 35 teams nationwide, the WBCBL is largest women's basketball league in North America and 'The Premier Professional Development Basketball League for Women.' The WBCBL offers the ideal platform for women to continue their playing career locally and to perfect their skills, while preparing for potential professional playing opportunities around the world.

Each team features a number of hometown names that each community will remember from their high school and college playing years.

Nikki Thompkins Named Head Coach of Grand Rapids Galaxy - 12 days ago
When the Grand Rapids Galaxy open the 2018 Women's Blue Chip Basketball League (WBCBL) season there will be a new voice in charge of the sidelines. Nikki Thompkins, a 1990 graduate of Creston High School in Grand Rapids, will take over the reigns as head coach. With it being our organization's first season, we were highly nervous about how the season would go and how our season would end.
