The two clubs are battling for playoff positioning with Oklahoma City, Arkansas and San Antonio. Due to the Knights' recent change in ownership their game against the Soul has been postponed. 'This happened kind of sudden,' former owner but still UBL Commissioner Mac Claire said. 'There has to be time to promote and advertise the games, and so instead of forcing the scheduled game in a new location, we felt it would be best to do it right and postpone until a later date.' The make up date will be announced Tuesday.
The UBL has six teams. The league started the season expecting eight but at the last moment it was decided that it was best for all involved
to not include the Dallas (Mesquite, TX) Outlaws and the North Missouri Hawks for the 2008 season.
The current teams are: San Marcos/Austin Knights, San Antonio Soul, Texas (Dallas) Wranglers, Arkansas Warriors, Oklahoma City On Point Hoopsters, and the Central Texas (Temple) Stars.

Austin, TX - The San Marcos Knights have come full circle, or so it seems. With their coach, Montell Robinson taking over ownership, the team is headed back to Austin, TX where it was founded by UBL CEO Mac Claire.
The change of address will take effect immediately.
"I couldn't be happier about this because half of the team is from Austin," Claire said. "Montell has put things together very nicely and the players will benefit from it.

The younger players held their own as well with strong contributions from Brent Kimmel (180-6'0-G) and Milorad Damnjanac (230-6'9-C). Game two verses the Outlaws showed an even stronger success, but can the Hoopers take a win on the road?
After visiting the Arkansas Warriors and suffering two defeats the Hoopers travelled to Texas to see the Wranglers. Despite some impressive highlights from the likes of Bobby Carter (180-6'1-G) and Jonathan Reed the Hoopers could not bring home the win. May 31, 2008, the Oklahoma City OnPoint Hoopers will play host to the UBL Tri-State Classic in Oklahoma City. Games will be filmed and available at www.onpointhoops.com. If you can't be there in person, don't miss the action on webcast.
The Texas Wranglers are 6-2 this season and continue to play solid basketball. Oklahoma City and San Antonio are the only teams to beat the Dallas based club.
Former All-American Reggie Grifin and forward Dwayne McDonald are the Wranglers' standout players.
The Wranglers will seek revenge when they play the On-Point Hoopsters this Sunday.
The San Antonio Soul are truly a team. Guard Brandon Springs is shooting a rediculous 60% from beyond the three point line.

The San Antonio Soul are truly a team. Guard Brandon Springs is shooting a rediculous 60% from beyond the three point line. Backcourt mate Leonard Brown is averaging 22ppg and 8 assists. Center Ben Conwell is scoring at a 17point clip, and collecting 10 rebounds per contest. Big Ben inhaled 21 rebounds vs. the Stars earlier this season. Because the contributions come from all over the roster, the Soul stand at an impressive 4-1, including a 100-90 win on Mothers' Day.
The Arkansas Wariors and the Central Texas Stars also have played well this season. Despite a Mothers' Day loss to the Soul, the Stars are above .500 with a 4-3 record.
The San Marcos Knights for currently are playing their home schedule in the shadows of the Soul in the Alamo City. They have no home, no wins, and until recently, no clear identity. But when they played two weeks ago at home vs. the Wranglers, they came back from a huge hole and pulled to within two before losing by eight. What they found out was that their identity is that of a team that is patient offensively. Now the Knights will try to build from that game and look for their first win. Former ABA player Damont Jones scored only one field goal vs. the Wranglers, but he converted on 11 of 13 free throws. Jones is without question the leader on the court. Newcomer Richard Pinson has played in the last two games and has played well in both. He brings a certain toughness defensively along with an aggressive attitude offensively. Lefty point guard Brandon Gatlin continues to get better with each possession. He was a major factor in the comeback attempt vs. the Wranglers. He took care of the ball and limited his turnovers, and he continued driving to the basket fearlessly. His decision making has also improved in the last couple of games.

Some first in the league: San Antonio's Ben Conwell scored the first ever UBL field goal off the first offensive rebound . Big Ben also will go down as the first UBL player to score on a dunk. He actually got a pair.
What to look for if you want to watch the Soul play: San Antonio has a great set of guards in Leonard Brown and Brandon Knight. They are quick and wil hound their opposite number defensively. Marcus White is an excelent guard off Coach Kirk Brown's bench. Brown loses nothing when White enters the game for one of the starting guards.
Saturday Evening in Little Rock, the Warriors took advantage of the North Missouri Hawks long trip from Tarkio and won easily, The Warriors are one of the leading teams in the league when it comes to advertising and promoting. They are a class organization.
On Sunday, the Wranglers opened at home vs cross division rival Dallas Outlaws and won by the score of 132-102.
