UBA News

The Southern Generals continue to dominate the UBA as they blow pass the #1 ranked Georgia Spartans 100-70 Sunday night in Atlanta, GA. The Generals have been nothing short of the laughing stock of the UBA for the last six seasons after losing star player Will De La Cruz . Cruz retired from professional basketball and began coaching the Generals the summer of 2012. The team has posted some of the worst numbers in league history with only memories of the glory days. The Southern Generals were the 2011 UBA Champions led by (guess who) Will De La Cruz and Mike Sloan. Cruz would average 17 points, 4 rebounds and a league best 8.9 assists per game. Usbasket.com would later name him Guard of the Year along with All-Star honors. Since that magical season (28-1) the Generals have been nothing shy of terrible; over the last five season the Generals have a combined 17 games. Ron Blossomgame (6'9''-C/F-89, college: Middle Georgia) led the Generals with 24 points and 11 rebounds in the win.

Now after six seasons the Southern Generals are now 11-1 and looking very dominate in the UBA South. Coach Will De La Cruz has to be a shoe-in for the UBA Coach of the Year award.
