Lusane, Barnes Lead Matrix Over Short-Handed Vipers 84-80

Jermaine Barnes (6'4''-G/F-83, college: Point, GA, agency: Gamble Sports Management) scored 20 points and Richard Lusane (6'5''-PG-84, college: Valdosta St.) added 19 to help the GIE Maile Matrix beat the severely short-handed Vipers 84-80 on Saturday. Lusane had 19 points, 10 assists and six rebounds and GIE shot 54 percent to help the Matrix move to 4-2. Freddie Williams also added 20 and Ransom Antoine (6'5''-F-83, college: Columbus St.) finished with 14.

Demarrio Nelson (6'9''-F-87, college: Shawnee CC) led the Vipers with 15 points in a losing effort. The Matrix will face the unbeaten Southern Generals Saturday night.
