WUBA GAME RESULTS Jan 8, 2017

Game 1: Lady Disciples 70 Lady Generals 62
The Lady Disciples begin 2017 on the right track with a win over the Lady Generals by the score of 70-62. The Lady Disciples were led by Olivia Lee (SF-91) who scored 16 points. The Lady Generals were led by Khaalidah Miller (5'9''-G-92, college: Georgia) who scored 20 points. The Lady Matrix created problems for Lady Generals with a balanced scoring attack that saw 5 players reach double figures. Chimere Jordan and Kendra Appling each contributed 12 points, Nikitta Gartrell (5'9''-G-88, college: N.Carolina St.) scored 11 points, and Phebe Smith scored 10 for the winners. Shantae Robinson contributed 13 points , and Margot Tracy scored 11 points for the Lady Generals in the losing effort.

Game 2: Lady Legends 69 Lady Matrix 62
The Lady Legends begin 2017 on the right track with a win over the Lady Matrix by the score of 69-62. The Lady Legends were led by Aubany Thomas who scored 20 points. The Lady Matrix were led by Lynette Holmes (6'0''-G/F-92, college: Langston) with 23 points. The game had several lead changes throughout until a late surge by the Lady Legends put the game away. The Lady Legends got 15 points from Jay Ashby, and 17 points from Jheri Booker (6'0''-F/G-89, college: Tennessee St.). The Lady Matrix Carrie Washington (6'0''-F/C-94, college: Columbus St.) posted 10 points and 17 rebounds in a losing effort.

Aubany Thomas of the Lady Legends is selected as the the WUBA Player of the Week. The solid 4 year WUBA veteran scored 20 points in leading her team to a 69-61 win over the Lady Matrix. The big win saw the Lady Legends grab sole possession of 1st place in the highly competitive WUBA Southern Division to begin 2017. Thomas also known as 'AB' nailed 6 three point fields in an outstanding scoring display. This may be a break out year for AB, and the Lady Legends.

MCC2017 Finals 6/5/2017 GIE Lady Matrix - UE Mataro 94-44 GIE Lady Matrix win Mediterranean Cup championship. They knocked down Unio Esportiva Mataro in the title game. Kristina King (180-G/F-92, college: Richmond) was named MVP of the event. She notched 32 points and 10 rebounds to lead the American team. Lady Matrix eked out a 22:20 lead ten minutes into the game.
