ATLANTA, June 15, 2017 - Fort Worth F.I.R.M. guard Daylon Guy (6'0''-PG-92, college: Tarleton St.) has been named the 2016-17 UBA League Most Valuable Player in a vote by the league's 26 head coaches. In his first season in the UBA Minor League and his third with the F.I.R.M, Guy (6-0, 170, UALR) ranked third in the league in scoring with 22.8 points per game and added 5.1 rebounds, 6.0 assists and a team-high 1.6 steals in 21 games (21 starts). Fort Worth F.I.R.M celebrate UBA title as in the Final they overcame GIE Maile Matrix. Fort Worth F.I.R.M survived a 77-75 win to seal the trophy. Earlier Fort Worth F.I.R.M outscored the Blazers 76-66 as Chuck Guy top-scored for the winners with 26 points. In the semifinal games Fort Worth F.I.R.M beat D. Rize 83-79, while GIE Maile Matrix overcame the Cyclones 78-77.   [read more]
