UBA News
11/21/2016

GIE Maile Matrix landed experienced 34-year old American international forward Marquin Chandler (6'8''-F-82, college: San Jose St., agency: Haylett Sports) . The last time (14-15) he played at Caciques de Humacao in Puerto Rican BSN league. Chandler missed last season and had one year break from professional basketball.

Among other achievements Chandler played in the final of Portuguese League in 2011. He received also Asia-Basket.com All-William Jones Cup Honorable Mention award in 2015. Chandler has been regularly called to USA Senior National Team since 2015.

He is a very experienced player. Chandler has quite traveled the world as his pro career brought him to eight different countries on three different continents (Europe, Asia and of course North America). Chandler has played previously professionally in Bahrain (Al Ahli), Japan (Chiba Jets), Korea (Anyang KGC, SK Knights and Dongbu Promy), Latvia (ASK Riga), Philippines (Purefoods Star), Singapore, Portugal (Benfica) and IBL (Tri City B.).

He attended San Jose State until 2005 and it will be his twelfth (!!!) season in pro basketball.

Chandler's game is described as: A natural wing who played 4/5 in High School, adding some inside skills. Can spend time in the point forward position, bringing up the ball most of the time. Can also hit the three point shot with great accuracy, especially when you need it. Dribbles very well in open court.
