2015-16 UBA Player of the Year

ATLANTA GA, JUNE 27, 2016 - Freddie Williams (6'2''-G-87, college: Clayton St., agency: Gamble Sports Management) of the GIE Maile Matrix is the winner of the Orum Trophy as the 2015-16 UBA Most Valuable Player presented by Chick FIl A, the UBA announced today.

The 7-year UBA veteran totaled 400 points, including 28 first place votes, from a panel of 36 owners and coaches throughout the UBA. Players were awarded 10 points for each first-place vote, seven points for each second-place vote, five for third, three for fourth and one for each fifth-place vote.

Williams finished the season ranked second in the league in scoring at 23.9 ppg, having shot .499 from the field, .840 from the free-throw line and .361 from three-point range. In addition, Williams added 6.3 rebounds, 5.4 assists and 1.8 steals per game. The 6-2 guard led the Matrix to the best record in the Southern Conference (15-5).

He was named to his 6th UBA All-Star Game. Williams has also been named All-UBA 5 times along with 2 All-Star MVP awards.
