GIE Lady Matrix stars Kristina King (5'11''-G/F-92, college: Richmond) and LaToya Bond (5'7''-G-84, college: Missouri) are headed home to Atlanta Dream private workouts in hope to receive a contract.

Kristina King was named Eurobasket Summer League MVP this weekend in Atlanta, GA. She averaged an tournament best 14 points per game and a championship. She is currently the top scorer in the WUBA with 22.1ppg, 5.9 rebounds and a league best 6.2 assists per game. Last season King played in Iceland and Romania where she was named to the All-Import Team. In the summer she joined Team USA for the William Jones Cup in Taiwan where she also received AsiaBasket.com All-WJC 2nd Team honors.

LaToya Bond was also named to the Eurbasket.com All-ESL 1st Team this weekend. She averaged just under 14 points per game. Bond is currently 2nd in the WUBA is scoring with an average of 22.0 points per game. In 2006, Bond was drafted in the 2nd round of the WNBA draft by the Charlotte Sting. She would play five seasons in the WNBA before taking her career to Europe.

"We (Jared Johnson ) work very hard to help our ladies accomplish their goals", said owner J.D. Barnes . People like Latoya and Kristina are going to be the reason the WUBA will go to the next level.

MCC2017 Finals 6/5/2017 GIE Lady Matrix - UE Mataro 94-44 GIE Lady Matrix win Mediterranean Cup championship. They knocked down Unio Esportiva Mataro in the title game. Kristina King (180-G/F-92, college: Richmond) was named MVP of the event. She notched 32 points and 10 rebounds to lead the American team. Lady Matrix eked out a 22:20 lead ten minutes into the game.
