The Generals and Matrix have officially completed their blockbuster trade that sends league MVP LaToya Bond (5'7''-G-84, college: Missouri) and Taylor Turnbow (6'2''-C-90, college: LSU) to GIE..

Because this detail had so many reported iterations, here are the final terms:

GIE lady Matrix receive:

-LaToya Bond
-Taylor Turnbow
- Breaira Barksdale (5'6''-G)
-Tiayra Green (5'10''-G)

Metro Atlanta Sparks:

-Rateska Brown (5'6''-G, college: Oklahoma City)

Atlanta Legends:

-Jemimah Ashby (5'9''-G/F-91, college: Augustana, SD)

Southern Generals:

-Danielle Gant (5'11''-G/F-87, college: Texas A&M)
-Starr Fairbanks (6'3''-F/C-87, college: Oklahoma City)

As Greg wrote when the trade was first reported, 'GIE should be a better team, a more dangerous playoff team, but a lot of things have to go right for them to knock the Generals off it's two-time defending WUBA champions perch. Their margin for error is small.'

With the deal finalized, the Matrix can move forward. Last weekend the Matrix outlasted the Legends. Kristina King was the story but the new look ladies could shock the league. "Turbo gives us what I have always wanted", said head coach J.D. Barnes . We have two dominate post. We will need that along with Bond if we want a chance to win our second title.

Turnbow finished her Matrix debut with 6 points and 8 rebounds in the win. Bond didn't dress due to a wrist injury suffered two weeks ago. "I encouraged Toya to stay out the rest of the month", said Barnes. We have the post season to think about.

As for the defending champions. It seems that they continue to get better. Coach Jared Johnson signs yet another ex WNBA player in Danielle Gant. Starr Fairbanks will also return to the lady Generals for a post season push. When you add talent like this and the return of Courtney Hurt (6'1''-F-90, college: VCU) you can expect nothing less than another championship.
