Game 1: Lady Disciples 74 Lady Matrix 70
The Lady Disciples got back on track defeating the Lady Matrix by the score of 74-70. The Lady Disciples were led by Chimere Jordan (5'8''-G-89, college: Georgia Coll.) and Kendra Appling (5'7''-PG-87, college: Tennessee St.) who both scored 20 points in the win. The Lady Matrix were led by Kristina King (5'11''-G/F-92, college: Richmond) who scored 25 points. The game was closely contested, but the Lady Disciples maintained a slight edge throughout. The Matrix made several runs but were unable to ever gain control of the game. The Lady Matrix had 2 other double-figure scorers with Jemimah Ashby (5'10''-G/F-91, college: Augustana, SD) scoring 13 points, and Sherida Triggs (6'2''-F/C-85, college: ODU, agency: Gamble Sports Management) scoring 10 points in the losing effort. The Lady Disciples had no other double-figure scorers but a strong team effort to balance their attack. The Lady Disciples appear to be back in form.

Game 2: Lady Legends 65 Lady Generals 49
The Lady Legends pulled off an early season upset defeating the Lady Generals by the score of 65-49. The Legends were led by Samisha Powell (5'8''-G, college: Georgetown) who scored 20 points. The Lady Generals were by Christina Dewitt (6'2''-F/C-87, college: N.Carolina) who scored 16 points. The game was determined by energy, as the Lady Generals playing without 3 starters and only 5 players were over matched in the second half by the much improved and talented Legends team. The Lady Generals got 14 points from Armelie Lumanu (5'10''-G/F-88, college: Mississippi St.) in the losing effort with no other players reaching double figures. The Lady Legends had no other double-figure scorers but did get a great team effort to balance their attack. The Lady Legends will definitely be a team to watch in their first year in the WUBA.
