3/2/2013 Georgia PRIME- Georgia Spartans 99-95 Atlanta, GA -- Not much has gone wrong for the PRIME this season. Their now 11-0 behind the great shooting of Derrick Allen (6'5''-G/F-85, college: Valdosta St.) Saturday Allen scored 29 points of 7-13 shooting from the three. Miguel Morton (6'8''-F/C-83, college: Columbus St.) added 15 points and 10 rebounds in the win. DeAndre Bray (5'6''-G-85, agency: Gamble Sports Management, college: Jacksonville St.) finished with yet another double-double with 11 points and 12 assists. The Spartans were in the game but lost sight late in the fourth. Ransom Antoine (6'5''-F-82, college: Columbus St.) scored 31 points and pulled down 10 rebounds in a losing effort. Chad Eichelberger (6'11''-C-82, agency: TSS Management, college: St.Andrews) added 11 points, 11 rebounds and 8 blocks in the loss.
GIE Maile Matrix- Team Japan 118-82 Atlanta (AP) - The Matrix roll pass Team Japan 118-82. GIE put on a show for home fans as they dominated Team Japan from start to finish. Jermaine Barnes (6'5''-G/F-82, agency: Gamble Sports Management, college: Point, GA) was a machine for the Matrix scoring 35 points, 8 rebounds and 12 assists. Brian Kelly (6'8''-F-85, college: Clayton St.) added 28 points and 18 rebounds. Freddie Williams (6'2''-G-87, agency: Gamble Sports Management, college: Clayton St.) put on a dunk show ranking up 6 dunks to go alone with his 26 points performance The Matrix are now 8-3 and ranked 2nd in the Southern Conference. Jun Iwasa (6'2''-G-80) was the only bright spot for Team Japan scoring a team high 27 points in a losing effort.
Cleveland Havok- Texas Cyclones 100-88 Houston (AP) - The Havok continue there winning ways despite being short handed. The Havok controlled the game from start to finish behind great coach from Kevin Franklin . Jeremy McCarty (6'7''-F-88, college: Oklahoma City) led his team to victory behind an impressive 9 rebounds along with his career high 40 points. Delvin Franklin (6'2''-G, college: Florida Gulf Coast) was in all-star form scoring 25 points and pulling down 5 rebounds in a losing effort.
3/3/2013 Houston Express- Texas Cyclones 118-102 Houston, TX -- The Express rank up there 7th win Saturday night. Their 7-2 behind the MVP play of Terence Morris (6'10''-F-79, college: Maryland). Saturday Morris scored a game high 31 points and pulled down 15 rebounds. Anthony Allison (6'6''-F-86, college: Texas Coll.) added 26 points and 8 rebounds for the Express. Effran Bryant (5'6''-PG-88, college: Tarleton St.) scored 27 points in a losing effort for the Cyclones who continue to struggle. Terry Turner (6'2''-G-83) added 18.
Atlanta Titans - Team Japan 118-102 Atlanta, GA (AP) - The Titans lock down their 2nd win passing Team Japan 118-102. The Titans controlled the game from start to finish behind the great play of Josh Brewster (6'7''-F-85, college: Alabama St.). Brewster finished the game with 35 points and 10 rebounds in the win. Tony Omotayo (6'5''-F-85, college: Ft.Valley St.) added a career high 36 points and 8 rebounds knocking down 4 three pointers late in the 4th. Ahmad Grant (6'3''-G-87, college: NC-Wilmington) came up big with a double double pulling down 10 rebounds with 25 points. Team Japan was lead by Jun Iwasa with 20 points in a losing effort.
The 2012-2013 All-United States Awards were recently released, which had four UBA players on this impressive list.

GIE Maile Matrix- Atlanta Titans 109-90 Atlanta, GA -- GIE wrap up their regular season in a big way with a win over the Atlanta Titans. Their now 13-7 behind the play of Jermaine Barnes (6'5''-G/F-82, college: Point, GA). Saturday Barnes scored 29 points of 12-18 shooting from the field. Along with a big scoring night Barnes racked up 10 assists with 6 rebounds. Cervante Burrell (5'10''-PG-89, college: Seattle) was also big for GIE scoring 20 points and dissing out 10 assists in the win. Quin Humphrey (6'5''-G/F-84, college: Youngstown St.) continued his red out shooting finishing with 17 points (3-6 (3PFG)). The Matrix have now locked down the 4th spot in the UBA playoff seeding. Depending on the finish of the Western Conference will determine rather the Matrix will have a big with the Georgia PRIME. Tony Omotayo (6'5''-F-85, college: Ft.Valley St.) led all scores with 32 points in a losing effort. The Titans will finish up there season next weekend to wrap up there season.

Traditionally at the end of each year Eurobasket announces the European awards for last year. So for the third time Usbasket would like to announce its 2012-2013 National Awards.
It's the 3rd year of such ranking prepared by Usbasket.com staff. Usbasket has a network of almost 200 correspondents, while most of them are located in the United States and participated in preparing the ranking below [read more]

It's the 3rd year of such ranking prepared by Usbasket.com staff. Usbasket has a network of almost 200 correspondents, while most of them are located in the United States and participated in preparing the ranking below.
We have the policy of not involving the fans as it may influence the final ranking and instead of that we rely on the opinions of experts.
All-United States category applies only to American Professional Basketball (not the NBA), but also these, who played overseas (mostly in NBA). The minor leagues were selected off of number of games, stats, players going overseas and overall talent.
Ahead of them all has to be the NBA D-League. The D-League by far has the most talent in the United States. Not only do they have the most talent they are branded by the brand (NBA). The D-League has sent over 36 players up to the NBA this season including Usbasket.com All-United States Player of the Year Andrew Goudelock (6'3''-G-88, college: Charleston) and 2nd Team member Jeremy Lamb.
The UBA may be the most impressive league of them all under the power houses. The UBA has sent over 109 players overseas in just 4 seasons. Not only do their players move on to the next level they all play well. Over 50% of the UBA players go to their mid-level countries and average the same numbers as they did in the UBA league.
The IBL and the PBL have to be two of the most entertaining and profitable leagues going in the United States. The PBL has the largest budget than all of the minor leagues and continue to add big talent. The IBL has been carried by power teams like the Los Angeles Lightning and ex NBA players like Bryon Russell and Toby Bailey. Now that the PBL and IBA have merged; the new PBL-IBA maybe be the future of minor league sports.
The ABA is one of the longest running leagues in the minor league circuit. No doubt about it, the Jacksonville Giants are a power and have to be respected.
This year, Andrew Goudelock dominated the votes and was named Player of the Year award and also United States 1st Team.
The first team was dominated by NBA D-League players, with Non D-League selected just in the 2nd best team.
Best point guard of the year is Jerel McNeal (6'3''-G-87, college: Marquette). The D-League star had a terrific season with Bakersfield Jam, leading the team to the best record in the NBA D-League. McNeal led the Jam in assist this season with 5.9 and scored an impressive 18.5ppg. McNeal was also named the 2012-13 All-NBA D-League 1st Team. He was later called-up to the Jazz.
Shooting Guard of the Year comes as no surprise, Andrew Goudelock "The Red Mamba". Goudelock played for Rio Grande Valley Vipers where he averaged 21.4ppg. He was currently called up for the LA Lakers. He was also named NBA D-League Player of the year along with 1st Team honors. The "Red mamba" is our selection for USA Player of the Year.
In small forward position theres Fort Wayne star Tony Mitchell (6'6''-F-89, college: Alabama). This year, Mitchell was also named to the NBA D-League 1st Team. The Alabama star was the league top scorer with 22.3ppg. He was also named league Rookie of the Year.
Power forward of the Year goes to a former NBA and international star: Terence Morris (6'10''-F-79, college: Maryland). The former Maryland star played 5 season in the NBA and 6 internationally in Spain. Morris is currently in the UBA playing for the Houston Express. He is currently averaging over 23 points per game and a league best 15 rebounds. He is one of the Team USA selections for the 2013 Williams Jones Cup Team.
Best center of the year is one of the biggest revelations of the previous season: Brian Butch (6'11''-C/F-84, agency: Edge Sports, college: Wisconsin). The big man had an impressive year with Bakersfield Jam averaging 13.0ppg and 11.8rpg. He is by far the best big in the NBA-DLeague.
