Havok guard David Tairu (6'3''-G-86, college: Texas Tech) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for fouth-ranked Lonestar Strikers and receives a Usbasket.com Player of the Week award for round 4.
Tairu led the Havok to 2 victories over the weekend. He had a of 20 points and 6 rebounds, while his team crushed Longstar Strikers (#4, 1-2) with 10-point margin 107-97. The following game Tairu posted 19 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists passing the Dallas Gentlemen. The Havok are now 4-1 in the Western Conference and look to move pass the Houston Express next month.
He is currently averaging 22.5ppg (5), 4.0rpg, 3.0apg while shooting an amazing 56.0% from the field. Tairu has also played in Iceland (KR) where he averaged 22.0ppg in 8 games. Later he joined Qatar Sports Club for the playoffs where he helped led the team to the FInals. In 2011 he played in the Eurobasket Summer League for Team Dubai where he was named All-Tournament Team MVP while leading the ESL in scoring with 22.5ppg.
