David Walls Reports:
ATLANTA (AP) -- The Atlanta Titans traded UBA All-Star James "Harden" Williams (6'3''-G/F-87, college: Victory) to the GIE Maile Matrix to fill out it's front court.

The Titans acquired all-star forward Chris Miller-Williams (6'6''-F/G-87, college: W.Georgia), two first-round picks and a second-round pick in the surprising deal that was completed Monday night.

Williams became a fan favorite in the UBA last season after leaving GIE joining the Atlanta Titans in 2011. He was named UBA Most Improved Player after tripling his scoring average from 7.0ppg in 2010 to 20.8ppg in 2012. Williams was named to his first All-Star game and later signed his first overseas contract in Uruguay. "We are very excited to get James back in black and gold", said head coach D.J. Douglas . We will use him the same was OKC used James Harden (6'5''-SG-89, college: Arizona St.).

The Titans got back a great rebounder in Miller-Williams, who has averaged 12.4 rebounds in Europe (Iceland). Miller-Williams was the 2011 UBA Rookie of the Year averaging an impressive 18.0 points and 8.5 rebounds per game. He would later sign with KFI of Iceland. In his first season in Europe Miller-Williams was named Eurobasket.com All-Icelandic Forward of the Year. He averaged an amazing 22.4ppg with a league best 12.4 rebounds per game. "We never wanted to traded James", said Titans head coach Mike Dennis. We badly needed a post and we think Chris is the best the UBA has to offer.

Miller-Williams will now debut December 15, 2012 vs. Georgia PRIME in Atlanta, GA. The Titans will need Miller-Williams to be big if they plan to get pass the PRIME.

Barnes and Oxley Lead Matrix to 100-97 Comeback Win Over Vipers - 4 hours ago
David Walls Reports 2/26/2017 Jermaine Barnes (6'4''-G/F-83, college: Point, GA, agency: Gamble Sports Management) had his first triple double of the season recording 30 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists for the Matrix. It marked his first triple since the 2011-12 UBA season. After such a big night you would think Barnes would be the topic, but a third quarter explosion (18 points) by Anthony Oxley (5'9''-PG-86, college: Mount Aloysius) sparked the Matrix comeback. Anthony Oxley added 3...   [read more]

Parks 27 points leads Spartans over unbeaten Generals 110-100 - 4 hours ago
David Walls Reports 2/26/2017 Spartans coach Antonio Brown wasn't exactly thrilled with his team's shootout win over the Southern Generals on Saturday night. "I didn't think we played well at all," said Brown, disappointed by his club's defensive effort as both squads set season scoring highs in Spartan's 100-110 victory. Bernard Parks (6'3''-SG-90, college: Point, GA), who led the Spartans with 27 points and 10 assists, also acknowledged the Spartans lack of focus,"We have to do better...   [read more]

Texas Cyclones were short handed when they faced the Metroplex Lightning. This game has been amped up from the beginning of the season. Xavier Rogers led the Lightning with 21 points and 7 rebounds. Rookie Jacolby Anderson dropped 20 points with 7 rebs. Former D-League standout Vernon Lewis contributed with 16 points and 11 rebounds also.
