19-year old forward Tony Anderson II (206-F-97) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Ohio Bootleggers and receives a Usbasket.com Player of the Week award for round 8.
He had the game-high 37 points adding two assists for Ohio Bootleggers in his team's victory, helping them to outclass Washington W. (#7, 2-6) with 27-point margin 140-113. Ohio Bootleggers maintains the 3rd position in PBL league. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Ohio Bootleggers will need more victories to improve their 7-5 record. Anderson II turned to be Ohio Bootleggers' top player in his first season with the team. Tony Anderson II averages this season 13.3ppg.

Second best performed player last round was Edwin Ubiles (198-F/G-86) of Chautauqua H.. He is Puerto Rican-American swingman in his first season at Chautauqua H.. In the last game Ubiles recorded impressive 36 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Bad luck as Chautauqua H. was edged by slightly higher-ranked Jamestown J. (#4, 7-5) 93-92. This loss caused Chautauqua H. to drop to 5th position in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 6-8 record. Ubiles is one of the most experienced players at Chautauqua H. and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 18.5ppg (#6). His other stats are also decent: 4.8rpg and 3.9apg.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Deverell Biggs (185-G-92) of league's second-best Rochester R.. Biggs scored 27 points. He was a key player of Rochester R., leading his team to a 112-92 easy win against #3 ranked Ohio Bootleggers in a game of the week. Rochester R. is closer and closer to top of the standings. They will still need more victories. But 8-2 record is not that bad... Biggs has a very solid season. In 11 games in PBL he scored 10.9ppg. He also has 2.3spg, FGP: 55.1% and 3PT: 46.4%. Biggs attended one of camps at Eurobasket Summer League on his way to pro basketball.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Bernard Edwards (198-F-90) of Ohio Bootleggers - 36 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists
5. Cordaryl Ballard (196-G-87) of Ohio Bootleggers - 29 points and 4 rebounds
6. C Symonds) of Washington W. - 24 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)

Glisson becomes sole owner of the Lake Michigan Admirals once again - 3 months ago
As of Monday, August 7th, 2017, Chris Glisson will officially be the sole owner of the Lake Michigan Admirals once again.
