The Premier Basketball League (PBL) announced the admission of the Dubois Dream for the 2017 season. The Dream are located in DuBois, Pennsylvania and are owned by Dubois Dream LLC, headed by CEO Albert Varacallo
Varacallo is no stranger to the world of basketball, as he is a former player at Gannon University and Washington & Jefferson College where he was a standout performer. Along with his time on the court, Varacallo and the DuBois Dream were a recent participant in the $2 Million Dollar Winner Take All 'The basketball Tournament aired on ESPN this past summer. During his time off the court, he serves as an attorney with Hanak, Guido, and Taladay Law Firm.
'This is a great honor to be accepted into the PBL family,' stated Varacallo. 'We are ready to make the jump from being a tournament team to one that competes on the court every night in a full-time professional league. We will provide the community with an outstanding product and a team they can support. The season is right around the corner and we can't wait to get started and show the talent level of our players.'
'The Dream are an excellent addition to the PBL,' said PBL Commissioner Dennis Truax . 'Albert has the backing of his community and will be a model team for the league as a whole. His franchise serves as an important geographical supplement to our current teams and we feel that it will serve as a catalyst for more expansion in the area.'
The Dream will call Dubois Central Catholic home for the upcoming season. For further information regarding the Dream visit Facebook, Instagram and Twitter or email at duboisdream@gmail.com
