President of the New Era Basketball Association (NEBA) Kevin Williams has announced that the NEBA League will be going national in 2016. The Spring of 2016 will mark the start of the basketball leagues first National Schedule. Since the Leagues inception the teams have played a under a Regional Format. 'The plan to take the league national is going to be huge', says the leagues President Kevin Williams ,Williams has secured Streaming Deals with EA Sports and Black on Purpose Television that will feature a NEBA Channel and will broadcast all the teams games. The NEBA league will be the first minor basketball league in the United States to have its own Streaming Deal with EA Sports.The League will have 20 Teams which include: Houston, New York, Boston, Lafayette, Louisiana, Memphis, Atlanta, Washington DC , Miami, Oklahoma City, Portland, Kansas City, San Antonio, Raleigh, Philadelphia, Tacoma, Orlando, Hickory (North Carolina) Hot Springs (Arkansas) Kitsap (Washington), and Jackson (Tennessee).The mission of the NEBA League is to teach, develop, and expose basketball players to the NBA, NBDL, and International Scouts , while providing the community an exciting brand of basketball. League Commissioner David Swisher has secured five international tours thus far which will position players to have more opportunities to secure overseas contracts. 'Our goal is to be the second biggest league in the United States, says Swisher 'we know we will never be bigger than the NBA but we want to be known for our ability to provide a platform of exposure to some talented players that wouldn't otherwise have the opportunity to fulfill dreams of playing professional basketball'. New Era, Ea Sports, BOP TV, 20/20 Apparel, Southwest Airlines, Hoop Culture, Spalding, and Ball 4 Life have all been named official sponsors for the NEBA League. A Partnership with 20/20 apparel will make the NEBA League the only minor league basketball association that will have players with their own shoes.Sponsorship opportunities are still available. Garland Hoyas Change Name to Dallas Hoyas and join new league - 2 Years ago
The Garland Hoyas has officially changed its name to Dallas Hoyas. The team was first started in 2015 and has been very successful in its inauguration year. The organization was able to secure 3 sponsorships and a lot of support within the community within it's first year. Austin Knights steal narrow win over Hub City Cyclones - 2 Years ago
Austin Knights prevailed 98-97 Saturday night against a feisty Hub City Cyclones team here in Austin at the Pan Am Center. The Knights improved to (4-2) on the NEBA Winter Season and was led by the efforts of the power forward D'Mond Grismore (6'6''-F) who hit 2 critical free throws with 6 seconds left to give the Knights the final 98-97 lead.
