Arkansas State's Grant McCasland has been hired as the new head coach at North Texas. McCasland just finished his first year as head coach at Arkansas State with a record of 20-12 en route to a third-place finish in the Sun Belt Conference. McCasland previously spent five years as an assistant coach at Baylor. He also coached Midwestern State to a pair of Division II Elite Eight runs, and won a junior college national title at Midland (TX) in 2007.

Eugene, OR - In a contest that was fast-paced throughout, the Oregon Ducks outlasted the Portland State Vikings 96-84 in front of an anxious crowd of 6,905 in Eugene. Oregon only led by two points with 6:37 left in the game before they started to pull away. Charlotte dismisses coach Mark Price in third season - 2 days ago
Charlotte has fired former NBA standout Mark Price after two-plus seasons, the school announced Thursday. Price had a 30-42 mark since taking over the 49ers program, including a 16-20 record in Conference USA play. Charlotte is 3-6 this season and on a four-game losing streak.
