Portland, OR - With both teams needing a victory to get some kind of momentum going into the final weeks of the Big Sky Conference season sixth place Idaho State jumped on eight place Portland State from the start of the game. Portland, OR - St. Mary's pulled away from Portland in the last five minutes for a 73-61 victory. A key turning point in the game came when Portland fouled on a drive putting St. Mary's in the bonus for the remainder of the second half with over twelve minutes remaining. St. John's guard Lovett to leave school, turn pro - 2 days ago
Marcus LoVett Jr.(6'0''-G-96) announced on Saturday morning that he will be leaving St. John's to pursue a professional career. This decision doesn't come as much of a surprise. Lovett, who averaged 14.9 points through the first seven games of the season, was ruled out for the rest of the season with a knee injury despite reports that he was healthy enough to play.
