Four-star Mamaou Doucoure has reclassified, enrolled at Rutgers - Aug 21, 2017

Rutgers has made a potentially significant addition to their 2017 recruiting class, as four-star big man Mamadou Doucoure (6'9''-C) appears to have reclassified. According to the Asbury Park Press, Doucoure has already enrolled in classes at Rutgers, citing a search of the university's online database. The 6-foot-9 Doucoure was initially a member of the Class of 2017 before reclassifying to 2018, although there have been rumors that he has been trying to enroll this year. It's not yet clear if Doucoure will be eligible to play this season - he has not even been added to Rutgers' roster online - but if he's eligible, he should be able to provide rotation minutes for the Scarlet Knights. Even if he's not cleared to play this season, his addition matters. He'll be able to workout with and develop in a Big Ten locker room before getting cleared to play alongside a massive 2018 recruiting class that already includes four-stars Mac McClung and Montez Mathis along with three-star prospect Ron Harper Jr.

New FGCU men's coach Michael Fly adds veteran Donnie Marsh to staff - 6 hours ago
New Florida Gulf Coast University men's basketball coach Michael Fly doesn't care too much about ranking assistants, but his newest staffer will no doubt be sitting right beside him. FGCU announced Monday the addition of now-former Alabama A&M coach Donnie Marsh . Marsh joins former Barry University assistant Justin Furr, 41, who began working for the Eagles last week. And fourth-year assistant Tom Abatemarco still is on Fly's staff although he's exploring other options. Marsh, who gets t...   [read more]

USC makes a statement landing Class of 2019 four-star forward Isaiah Mobley - 2 days ago
USC ended a strong week of recruiting with another major statement on Friday afternoon as four-star Class of 2019 forward Isaiah Mobley (6'9''-SF) pledged to the Trojans. The second major Class of 2019 commitment for USC during the week, the 6-foot-9 power forward joins five-star big man Onyeka Okongwu (6'9''-F/C). The Compton Magic teammates should be able to help replace the loss of Bennie Boatwright and Chimezie Metu, with Mobley playing the skilled, floor-spacing Boatwright's role and...   [read more]

USF signs Oklahoma State transfer Zack Dawson - 2 days ago
USF landed a major addition on Friday as the school announced the signing of Oklahoma State transfer guard Zack Dawson III (6'3''-G-98). The 6-foot-3 Dawson is a former consensus top-100 prospect coming out of high school as he'll have to sit out the 2018-19 season due to NCAA transfer rules. A native of the region, Dawson will have three years of eligibility remaining once he's able to play again. Dismissed from Oklahoma State on Dec. 14 for violating team rules, Dawson averaged 4.4 poin...   [read more]
