Jeremy
Hazell
Rookie Jeremy Hazell (6'5''-G-86, college: Seton Hall) is no longer a member of Lucentum Alicante. The Spanish team decided to release the 25-year-old guard. They immediately signed Tyrone Ellis as his replacement. Hazell joined Alicante during the pre-season. He appeared 6 times in Liga Endesa averaging 6.8 points. However, it seems that was not enough for the coaching staff to keep him. Jeremy Hazell graduated at the Seton Hall University this year. He had 19.8 ppg and 3.5 rpg for his school as a senior. Hazell was great as sophomore and junior as well. In 2008/09 season, he had impressive 2.27 ppg and 3.8 rpg for 32 games. Hazell was named All-Big East 3rd Team -09, 11.

Chris Boucher(6'10''-C/F-93), who was terrific at the Nike Skills Academy in July, had 12 points. While Ennis' health was noteworthy, it is also worth pointi...   [read more]

Rutgers land 7-foot grad transfer from UNC Wilmington - 1 day ago

Rutgers landed a commitment from seven-footer C.J. Gettys(7'0''-C) on Monday night. Gettys is a graduate transfer from UNC-Wilmington, where he averaged 5.3 points, 5.1 boards and 1.4 blocks for a team that reached the NCAA tournament. Gettys is a slow-footed back-to-the-basket player, however, and that didn't exactly fit with the way that UNCW head coach Kevin Keatts likes to play; think Shaka Smart's VCU teams. So Gettys opted for Rutgers, picking the Scarlet Knights over Dayton, Purdue...   [read more]
