The Hurricanes outscored the Highlanders 30-28 in the third quarter. Halifax held a 99-96 lead with 39 seconds left in the fourth, but Highlanders' Billy Rush hit a clutch 3-pointer to tie the game at 99. Michael Poole had 26 points and 7 rebounds to pace Halifax's offense. Antoine Mason (6'3''-G-92, college: Auburn) chipped in with 20 points and 4 rebounds and Billy White (6'8''-F-89, college: San Diego St.) had 16 points and 10 rebounds.
