Chad Frazier
Chad Frazier (6'4''-G-92, college: UAB) made the first of two free throws with 0.8 seconds left in the fourth quarter to give the Cape Breton Highlanders a 100-99 victory over the Halifax Hurricanes at Scotiabank Centre on Sunday afternoon. It was the second time this season that Cape Breton has defeated their provincial rivals on Halifax's home court. The Hurricanes jumped out to a 30-23 advantage following the first quarter. Cape Breton stormed back in the second, to cut the deficit to just 2 points as the teams headed to the locker rooms at halftime 49-47. The Hurricanes outscored the Highlanders 30-28 in the third quarter. Halifax held a 99-96 lead with 39 seconds left in the fourth, but Highlanders' Billy Rush hit a clutch 3-pointer to tie the game at 99. Michael Poole had 26 points and 7 rebounds to pace Halifax's offense. Antoine Mason (6'3''-G-92, college: Auburn) chipped in with 20 points and 4 rebounds and Billy White (6'8''-F-89, college: San Diego St.) had 16 points and 10 rebounds. Frazier led Cape Breton's attack with 20 points and 6 rebounds while Charles Mann (6'5''-G-94, college: Georgia) Jr. and Hank Thorns had 17 points each. The Hurricanes now have a two-week break before returning to action on Sunday, April 9 at 2:00 p.m. for a home game against the Kitchener-Waterloo Titans.

Windsor Express (NBL Canada) inked 23-year old American guard Erik Durham (193-86kg-94). He just graduated from Jacksonville State University (NCAA). In 34 games he averaged 10.7ppg, 4.9rpg and 1.9apg last season. Durham helped them to win OVC Tournament. As mentioned above he is just out of the college and it will be his first season in pro basketball. Durham received NJCAA D1 All-Region XIV 1st Team award in 2015 at his college time. Windsor Express (NBL Canada) added to their roster 23-year old American forward Brian Bridgeforth (208-86kg-94). He just graduated from Wash.Adventist (NAIA). In 21 games he recorded very impressive stats: 19.0ppg, 11.4rpg and 1.3apg last season. Windsor Express (NBL Canada) signed 29-year old American forward Devin White (203-98kg-88, college: SUNO). He played this summer at Nauticos of Mazatlan in Mexican CIBACOPA. In 15 games he had very impressive stats: 18.5ppg, 8.7rpg, 3.0apg and 1.4spg. The last season White played at MLP Academics Heidelberg in German ProA where in 35 games he recorded 8.5ppg, 4.7rpg, 1.4apg, 2.0spg (in top 5) and 1.2bpg.
