Akeme Smart
Windsor Express (NBL Canada) added to their roster 26-year old Vincentian international center Akeme Smart (221-104kg-91, college: McCook CC). He just played at Santfeliuenc in Spanish EBA league. In four games he recorded 5.8ppg and 5.3rpg this season. Smart also played earlier that season for AEC Collblanc (also in EBA) where in 5 games he averaged only 2.4ppg and 2.8rpg. The other team he played shortly was Olimpic in Romanian Liga Nationala. In two EBA games he had 7.0ppg, 8.5rpg and 1.0apg.
Smart has tried to make it to the NBA and played in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2016.
He also represented Saint Vincent at the CBC Championships in Tortola (British Virgin Islands) two years ago. His stats at that event were 6 games: 1.3ppg, 1.3rpg.
Smart has played also professionally in Spain for Benidorm.
He attended McCook CC until 2013 and it is his fourth season as a professional player.
