Naadir
Tharpe
Niagara River Lions (NBL Canada) agreed terms with 26-year old American point guard Naadir Tharpe (180-77kg-91, college: Kansas). He started the season at Delaware 87ers (D-League) in the U.S. In only one game he recorded 11 points, 3 rebounds and 5 assists this season.
Three years ago Tharpe was drafted by Los Angeles D-Fenders (D-League) in second round (26th overall).
The former University of Kansas staris in his third season in pro basketball.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others Tharpe's team won Big 12 Regular Season in 2012 and 2014. He was also voted All-Big 12 Honorable Mention back in 2014 at his college time.
On Tharpe: A smart, unselfish player who Bill Self likes to compare to KU's all-time assists leader Aaron Miles... Kansas' 2014 Led Kansas in assists (170), three-point field goal percentage, & Free Throw percentage. The floor general that controlled the tempo playing with the #1 and #3 NBA Draft selections in 2014.

Hurricanes halt Miracles' win streak - 2 days ago
Even the prospects of tying a franchise record win streak could not change a familiar pattern. Led by Antoine Mason (6'3''-G-92, college: Auburn)'s 24 points and Mike Poole (6'6''-G/F-92, college: Iona)'s 20 points, the Halifax Hurricanes halted the Moncton Miracles season-high five-game win streak - one away from tying its franchise record - with a 101-93 win Thursday night at Moncton Coliseum. Halifax (24-7) now leads the season series 6-0. Moncton (11-17) was paced by Malik Story's 22...   [read more]

Wild finish in Windsor, Orangeville falls short in double overtime - 3 days ago
It was a rough shooting start for the A's despite moving the ball very well for open shots. With a struggling offense, they quickly found themselves on the wrong end of a 10-0 run while Windsor converted most of their opportunities inside the paint. The A's didn't find themselves behind for too long however, and they retaliated after a quick pause in action to tie the game back up at 16-16. Although they had no success from behind the 3-point line, their interior presence provided consist...   [read more]
