The Windsor Express dropped a 97-92 decision to the Orangeville A's at the WFCU Centre on Wednesday. The Express took a three point advantage in the first quarter and extended it to a 45-37 lead by halftime. A Orangeville gained the lead mid way through the third frame, but Windsor fought back to regain a 71-66 lead going into the fourth. The Express couldn't keep the A's at bay in the final frame, with Orangeville holding a five point lead at the buzzer. Warren Ward (6'5''-G-89) led Windsor with 21 points and six rebounds, while DeAndre Thomas (6'8''-C-86, college: Robert Morris) put up 17 points and two rebounds. Nick Evans (6'11''-C-88, college: S.Indiana), Juan Pattillo (6'7''-F-88, college: W.Kentucky) and Wally Ellenson (6'6''-G-94, college: Marquette) all had 12 points. The loss moves Windsor's record to 4-10, which is their worst start in franchise history. The Express will take on the Moncton Miracles next on Friday at the WFCU Centre. Tip off is at 7pm.

Sometimes a team needs to pullout a gutsy win. That was the case Sunday afternoon at Meridian Centre as the Niagara River Lions snapped a three-game losing streak with a 97-94 win over the Moncton Magic. It took double-overtime for the London Lightning to hold off the Moncton Magic. The Lightning needed both overtime periods to fight off a challenge by the Magic and pull out a 147-146 win Saturday night at Budweiser Gardens.
