Lathan comes back to Halifax Rainmen, ex Gotha - Jan 4, 2013

Halifax Rainmen (NBL Canada) added to their roster 29-year old American guard Trayvon Lathan (201-84, college: Chowan, agency: Elite Talent Exchange). Its actually his comeback to Halifax Rainmen as he played here before. Lathan already started the season at BiG Oettinger Rockets Gotha in German ProB. In 12 games this season he recorded 8.4ppg, 3.1rpg and 1.6apg. The last season he played at Moncton Miracles. In 26 NBL Canada games last year he averaged impressive 16.9ppg, 9.7rpg, 4.8apg and 1.7spg.
Lathan was also voted USBasket.com All-NBL Canada 2nd Team in 2012.
The previous (10-11) season Lathan played at Halifax_Rainmen. In 11 NBL Canada games that season he averaged 13.4ppg, 6.4rpg, 3.5apg and 1.6spg. He also played at Al Moutahed in Lebanese Division A earlier that season. In only one game that year he had 9 points, 3 rebounds and 5 assists. The other team Lathan played shortly was Anibal in Division A. In four games he averaged impressive 18.3ppg, 9.5rpg and 7.5apg.
In 2007 he was drafted by Utah Flash (D-League) in sixth round (75th overall).
The former Chowan University (NCAA Div.II) standoutis in his sixth season in pro basketball.
His team made it to the PBL Semifinals in 2011.
He has played also professionally in Taiwan, WCBL (Santa Barbara) and IBA (Los Angeles Lightning).
Lathan is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas.

London Lightning face new rival as NBL Canada announces an expansion franchise in Waterloo Region - 18 days ago

A potential rival for the London Lightning will hit the court during the sixth season of the National Basketball League of Canada this winter. Express submit six-man protected list for 2016-17 NBL of Canada season - 22 days ago

League scoring leader Brandon Robinson was one of six players the Windsor Express placed on the team's NBL of Canada protected list on Thursday. The list gives the Express exclusive negotiation rights to those players up until a month before the season and the ability to match any offer a player receives after that.
