Lathan comes back to Halifax Rainmen, ex Gotha - Jan 4, 2013

Halifax Rainmen (NBL Canada) added to their roster 29-year old American guard Trayvon Lathan (201-84, college: Chowan, agency: Elite Talent Exchange). Its actually his comeback to Halifax Rainmen as he played here before. Lathan already started the season at BiG Oettinger Rockets Gotha in German ProB. In 12 games this season he recorded 8.4ppg, 3.1rpg and 1.6apg. The last season he played at Moncton Miracles. In 26 NBL Canada games last year he averaged impressive 16.9ppg, 9.7rpg, 4.8apg and 1.7spg.
Lathan was also voted USBasket.com All-NBL Canada 2nd Team in 2012.
The previous (10-11) season Lathan played at Halifax_Rainmen. In 11 NBL Canada games that season he averaged 13.4ppg, 6.4rpg, 3.5apg and 1.6spg. He also played at Al Moutahed in Lebanese Division A earlier that season. In only one game that year he had 9 points, 3 rebounds and 5 assists. The other team Lathan played shortly was Anibal in Division A. In four games he averaged impressive 18.3ppg, 9.5rpg and 7.5apg.
In 2007 he was drafted by Utah Flash (D-League) in sixth round (75th overall).
The former Chowan University (NCAA Div.II) standoutis in his sixth season in pro basketball.
His team made it to the PBL Semifinals in 2011.
He has played also professionally in Taiwan, WCBL (Santa Barbara) and IBA (Los Angeles Lightning).
Lathan is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas.

London Lightning (NBL Canada) inked 25-year old American guard Kendall Williams (193-84kg-91, college: N.Mexico). He played in the summer at Atleticos de San German in Puerto Rican BSN league. In 7 games he averaged just 2.9ppg and 2.1apg. Part of last season Williams spent at Nuernberg Falcons BC in ProA where in three games he had 5.0ppg, 2.0rpg, 1.3apg and 1.3spg. Halifax Hurricanes appoint new head coach - 3 days ago

The Halifax Hurricanes Kevin Keathley will join the team as the head coach and general manager for the upcoming season. Keathley joins the team from the Bowling Green Bandits of the American Basketball Association, where he led the team to a 11-2 record last season.
