Summerside Storm (NBL Canada) cut 32-year old Senegalese ex-international forward Issa Konare (202-100kg-80, college: High Point, agency: Warren Sports International). In 13 NBL Canada games he played this season he averaged 7.9ppg, 5.9rpg and 1.3apg.
The previous (10-11) season Konare played at Niigata Albirex in Japanese BJ League. In 37 games that season he had 7.8ppg and 6.1rpg. He helped them to make it to the final.
Among other achievements Konare received Swedish Basketligan All-Defensive Team award in 2010.
He was also a member of Senegalese international program for some years. Konare played for Senegalese Senior National Team between 2003 and 2007 and previously for U18 National Team back in 2001. He also represented Senegal at the African Championships in Angola five years ago. His stats at that event were 6 games: 7.0ppg, 4.8rpg, 1.7apg, 2FGP: 52.2%, 3PT: 35.7%, FT: 37.5%.
Konare is a very experienced player. He has played also professionally in Finland (Kouvot), France (Aix-Maurienne and Boulazac Basket), Sweden (KFUM Jamtland) and PBL (Vermont Frost Heaves).
Konare attended High Point University until 2006 and it is his seventh season in pro basketball.

Island Storm (NBL Canada) added to their roster 24-year old American point guard Jahii Carson (178-82kg-92, college: Arizona State). He played last season at Adanaspor in Turkish TB2L. In 9 games he recorded 12.8ppg, 3.1rpg, 2.9apg and 1.1spg. Carson ended the previous (2014-15) season at Metalac in Serbian league. But in only one Adriatic League game he did not score anything. KW Titans (NBL Canada) added to their roster 30-year old American power forward Jermaine Dailey (203-95kg-86, college: Ill.-Chicago). He played last summer at Obregon in Mexican CIBACOPA, but left. In two games he had 5.5ppg, 6.0rpg, 1.5spg and 1.5bpg. The last season Dailey played at Santos (LNBP) in Mexican league where in 19 games he recorded 8.6ppg, 7.6rpg and 1.4spg. Julian Boyd (ex Porvoon Tarmo) signs at London Lightning - 5 days ago

London Lightning (NBL Canada) landed 26-year old American forward Julian Boyd (201-104kg-90, college: LIU Brooklyn). He played most recently at Porvoon Tarmo in Finnish 1st Division. In 30 games he averaged impressive 20.7ppg, 9.3rpg, 1.8apg, 2.0spg and 1.2bpg last season. Boyd helped them to make it to the semifinals.
