Windsor Express sign Chris Commons, ex Lapua - Dec 4, 2012

Windsor Express (NBL Canada) signed 28-year old American forward Chris Commons (206-100kg-84, college: USC Aiken). He just played at Lapuan Korikobrat in Finnish 1st Division. In 10 games this season he had very impressive stats: 15.9ppg, 6.5rpg, 1.0apg and 1.4bpg. The last season Commons also played at Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Steamers in PBL. In 21 games last year he recorded also great stats: 19.3ppg, 5.9rpg, 2.0apg and 1.9bpg. He helped them to end the regular season as a second best team in Eastern Division. They also advanced to the league semifinals. Quite impressive season as he was voted USBasket.com All-PBL Forward of the Year and named to 1st Team.
The previous (10-11) season Commons played at Barracudas in Brunei league. In 12 ASEAN League games he recorded also great stats: 22.5ppg, 8.6rpg, 2.3apg, 1.3spg and 2.1bpg. Quite impressive season as he was named to Asia-Basket.com All-ASEAN League Honorable Mention.
Commons played in the final of PeachBelt Tournament for two years in a row (2008 and 2009).
He was also voted PeachBelt Player of the Year back in 2009 at his college time.
Commons has played previously professionally in Bahrain (Al Ittihad) and Germany (BSV Wulfen).
He attended Univ.of S.Carolina - Aiken until 2009 and it will be his fourth season as a professional player.
