The Oshawa Power, currently 5-4 and sitting in second place of the NBL Canada's Central Division have activated rookie forward Kirk Williams, Jr. (6'6''-F). Williams, Jr, a product of Bridgeport University by way of Longwood (Va.) suffered an ACL injury after his senior season at Bridgeport and this will be his professional debut. During the 2009-10 season at Bridgeport Williams averaged 13.4 points, 6.2 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.2 steals while providing high-light reel athleticism for the NCAA DII school. He found similar success at Longwood University prior to transferring after his Junior year. Williams suffered his injury prior to playing for UBC Meunsters in Germany and has been showcasing his talents through out New York's famed Summer League tournaments the past two years, working on his professional comeback.
To make room on the roster, the Power released rookie guard Michael Culpo (6'1''-G-89, college: LIU Brooklyn). A products of Long Island University, Culpo appeared in eight games, averaging 6.4 points, 1.6 rebounds, 1.0 assists and 1.0 steals.

NBL Canada newcomer Kitchener-Waterloo Titans (NBL Canada) waived 28-year old Jamaican power forward Kevin Foster (203-104kg-89, college: Fresno State). In 9 NBL Canada games he recorded 10.2ppg and 4.9rpg this season. The last summer Foster played at Broncos (LNB) in Venezuelan league. He helped them to win the Venezuelan LNB title (twice) (also twice). Kitchener-Waterloo Titans (NBL Canada) released point guard Tramique Sutherland (183-82kg, college: Texas-PB). In 20 NBL Canada games he had 3.7ppg, 2.0rpg and 2.1apg this season. The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others Sutherland won NJCAA D1 Region V championship title in 2014. He was also voted All-NTJCAC 1st Team back in 2014 at his college time. The Halifax Hurricanes closed out their-three game homestand in style. In front of a season-high 2,501 fans, the Hurricanes pulled out a 113-102 win over their Atlantic division rivals - the Saint John Riptide - Sunday afternoon at the Scotiabank Centre in Halifax.
