The Oshawa Power, currently 5-4 and sitting in second place of the NBL Canada's Central Division have activated rookie forward Kirk Williams, Jr. (6'6''-F). Williams, Jr, a product of Bridgeport University by way of Longwood (Va.) suffered an ACL injury after his senior season at Bridgeport and this will be his professional debut. During the 2009-10 season at Bridgeport Williams averaged 13.4 points, 6.2 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.2 steals while providing high-light reel athleticism for the NCAA DII school. He found similar success at Longwood University prior to transferring after his Junior year. Williams suffered his injury prior to playing for UBC Meunsters in Germany and has been showcasing his talents through out New York's famed Summer League tournaments the past two years, working on his professional comeback.
To make room on the roster, the Power released rookie guard Michael Culpo (6'1''-G-89, college: LIU Brooklyn). A products of Long Island University, Culpo appeared in eight games, averaging 6.4 points, 1.6 rebounds, 1.0 assists and 1.0 steals.

Niagara River Lions (NBL Canada) strengthened their roster with addition of 22-year old American guard Adam Klie (193-91kg-95). Klie just graduated from Cal-San Diego (NCAA2). He has played there for the last four years. In 30 games he recorded very impressive stats: 15.2ppg, 6.1rpg and 4.5apg last season. Klie helped them to win CCAA Tournament and end the regular season at the top position. The Kitchener-Waterloo Titans Basketball Club have completed a trade with the Moncton Magic to acquire the rights to SF/PF Russell Byrd (6'7''-G-92, college: Michigan St.) (6'7', 215 lbs) in exchange for the rights to PG/SG Jason Calliste(6'2''-G-90, college: Oregon). The Titans have agreed to terms with Byrd for the 2017-18 NBL Canada season. Island Storm (NBL Canada) strengthened their roster with addition of 24-year old American forward Arnold Fripp (201-95kg-93, college: Coppin State). He played most recently at Grengewald in Luxembourg N2 league.
