The Oshawa Power, currently 5-4 and sitting in second place of the NBL Canada's Central Division have activated rookie forward Kirk Williams, Jr. (6'6''-F). Williams, Jr, a product of Bridgeport University by way of Longwood (Va.) suffered an ACL injury after his senior season at Bridgeport and this will be his professional debut. During the 2009-10 season at Bridgeport Williams averaged 13.4 points, 6.2 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.2 steals while providing high-light reel athleticism for the NCAA DII school. He found similar success at Longwood University prior to transferring after his Junior year. Williams suffered his injury prior to playing for UBC Meunsters in Germany and has been showcasing his talents through out New York's famed Summer League tournaments the past two years, working on his professional comeback.
To make room on the roster, the Power released rookie guard Michael Culpo (6'1''-G-89, college: LIU Brooklyn). A products of Long Island University, Culpo appeared in eight games, averaging 6.4 points, 1.6 rebounds, 1.0 assists and 1.0 steals.

Mike Poole (6'6''-G/F-92, college: Iona) had an offensively perfect game for the Halifax Hurricanes on Sunday. Poole scored 25 points and was eight-for-eight in field goals, three-for-three from three-point range and made all six of his free throws. CORDELL JEANTY Cape Breton Highlanders (NBL Canada) inked experienced 38-year old forward Cordell Jeanty (196-98kg-79, college: John A.Logan CC) from Moncton Magic. In 26 NBL Canada games he recorded 3.0ppg and 2.6rpg last season. Among other achievements Jeanty's team made it to the NBL Canada Semifinals in 2013 and 2015.
