The Oshawa Power, currently 5-4 and sitting in second place of the NBL Canada's Central Division have activated rookie forward Kirk Williams, Jr. (6'6''-F). Williams, Jr, a product of Bridgeport University by way of Longwood (Va.) suffered an ACL injury after his senior season at Bridgeport and this will be his professional debut. During the 2009-10 season at Bridgeport Williams averaged 13.4 points, 6.2 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.2 steals while providing high-light reel athleticism for the NCAA DII school. He found similar success at Longwood University prior to transferring after his Junior year. Williams suffered his injury prior to playing for UBC Meunsters in Germany and has been showcasing his talents through out New York's famed Summer League tournaments the past two years, working on his professional comeback.
To make room on the roster, the Power released rookie guard Michael Culpo (6'1''-G-89, college: LIU Brooklyn). A products of Long Island University, Culpo appeared in eight games, averaging 6.4 points, 1.6 rebounds, 1.0 assists and 1.0 steals.

River Lions net first-ever 3-game win streak - 1 day ago
A funny thing has happened since the Niagara River Lions increased their Canadian content. The team hasn't lost. Lightning Top Storm 123-117 - 2 days ago
The London Lightning beat the Island Storm 123-117 on Tuesday to set an NBL Canada record with their 34th regular season win. The two teams were back-and-forth in the first quarter, but London was able to take a 34-22 lead going into the second. The Lightning remained ahead in the second frame and held a seven point lead at halftime. PEI made it close in the third, but London fought back to keep a 91-83 advantage heading into the fourth. A's fall on the road to Niagara River Lions, 121-106 - 4 days ago
After losing a close one to the Kitchener-Waterloo Titans the night before, the Orangeville A's (15-22) headed to the Meridian Centre to take on the Niagara River Lions for a 2:00 PM Sunday afternoon game. Both teams started the game evenly matched offensively as an exchange of baskets ensued early.
