The Saint John Mill Rats clinched the first pre-season victory. They knocked down the Moncton Miracles 110:107 in a tight contest.
Devin Sweetney (6'6''-G/F-87, agency: Pro One Sports, college: St.Francis, PA) ensured a quick start for the Miracles. They grabbed an early advantage and maintained it throughout the bigger part of the game. The Mill Rats however took over midway through the last period. They surged ahead and hung on to win the battle. Joe Posey (6'5''-G-85, college: JMU) came up with 18 points to lead the winners. Jerice Crouch (6'0''-G-84, college: Chattanooga) added 17 points and 8 rebounds in the victory. Devin Sweetney and David Tairu (6'3''-G-86, agency: Pro One Sports, college: Texas Tech) accounted for 18 points for Moncton. Darrell Wonge (6'7''-F-86, agency: Veracity Sports, LLC, college: Winston Salem) finished with 17 points in defeat.

The Halifax Hurricanes capped a furious fourth quarter to steal Game 2 of the NBLC Finals from the London Lightning. The Hurricanes outscored the Lightning 33-22 in the fourth quarter and survived some late chances to beat London 111-110 at Budweiser Gardens. This ties the best-of-seven finals series at a game each. Lightning Hold On To Beat Hurricanes In Game 1 - 2 days ago
The London Lightning struck down the Halifax Hurricanes 105-97 in Game 1 of the NBL Canada Finals on Friday. The Lightning scored a 24-17 lead in the first quarter and remained ahead by three points heading into halftime.
