The Summerside Storm have landed one of last seasons standout performers in shooting guard Gregory Plummer (6'3''-G-83, college: Eckerd) for the upcoming 2012-13 Canada NBL season. Plummer, 6-4, most recently played in Colombia for Guerreros de Bogota, but made his mark last season with the St. John Mill Rats. After resurrecting himself on the New York City summer circuit in 2011 he headed north to St. John and put on a show for Mill Rats fans. In 14 games he averaged 17.8 points, 5.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.7 steals while shooting a lights-out 44.4% from three-point range. His signature game came against the Quebec Kebs on January 5 of this year when the Brooklyn, New York native exploded for a season-high 40 points on 12-20 shooting and 10-14 from the line in 40 minutes. Known as a knock-down shooter, Plummer has also impressed teams and coaches with his tenacious defensive play and strong rebounding from either guard position. His professional play has taken him across the North American minor leagues (USBL, ABA, PBL, NBL) as well as Luxembourg, Mexico and Colombia internationally.
Gregory Plummer also took part this summer in the Eurobasket Summer League in Houston, Texas, averaging 15.3 points over four contests.
