Obinna Agomo
The London Lightning made the first cuts on Friday. They released Obinna Agomo (6'3''-G-88, agency: ProSportsCareers, college: Greenville), Jerome Richardson (6'5''-F/G-83, college: Louisiana Tech), Maurice Benson (6'0''-G-84, college: Indiana Tech), Cody Boone (6'9''-F/C, college: Seton Hill) and Florentino Valencia (6'6''-F-85, agency: Paris Global Sports, college: Toledo).
Obinna Agomo was drafted by the Lightning in August. Last season he played for the Chicago Muscle in PBL. His stats read 1.4 points per game. Obinna Agomo participated at Global Basketball Summer League in Las Vegas.
Jerome Richardson spent the last season in ABA. He played for the South Carolina Warriors. He made it into ABA Finals with the team.
Maurice Benson played in different minor leagues lately. The guard participated at IBL All-Star Game in 2009.
Cody Boone played for the Jersey G-Force last season. The centre notched 9.3 points, 8.3 rebounds, 2.8 blocks and 1.2 steals per game in IBL. Previously he played for the Harrisburg Horizon in EBA. Cody Boone was named All-EBA Newcomer of the Year.
Florentino Valencia played in Puerto Rican BSN lately. He notched 5.8 points and 2.7 rebounds per game for Indios de Mayaguez.

Hurricanes Defeat Mill Rats and Advance to Finals - May 22, 2016

Halifax Hurricanes Basketball Club defeated the Saint John Mill Rats 109-80 in game four of the Atlantic Conference Championships, at the Harbour Station. Hurricanes sweep the Mill Rats in the 7 game series 4-0, and advance to the Finals. Hurricanes led the Mill Rats 26-19 at the end of the first quarter. Lightning Defeat Express, Lead Series 3-2 - May 22, 2016

Saturday night, in front of 6,626 fans at Budweiser Gardens, the London Lightning defeated the Windsor Express 108-98. The Lightning now lead the Express 3-2 in the best of seven playoff series. Akeem Scott (6'1''-G-83, college: High Point) scored 22 points, seven assists and three steals. Warren Ward (6'5''-G-89) also scored 22 points.
