Mike James Finally Gets to Prove Himself on the Highest Level!

Mike James is finally getting the chance to make an impact in the NBA after years of proving himself in Europe! He shouldn't be confused with Mike James who he shared a namesake with who played in 595 games and had a similar physical profile but is now 42 years old. Both worked hard to carved out niche in the NBA and had to take the long road to the NBA.

The current NBA player Mike James is 27 years old and in his first year in the NBA playing in 11 games so far. He has been all over the world playing in countries like Croatia, Spain, Israel, Greece and Italy. He was offered a spot as a naturalized player with the Bosnian National Team in the last couple of years but turned it down to focus on his ultimate dream, an NBA career.

He has finally made that dream come true and he has made the most of it and becoming a starter for the Suns. In 11 games he's averaged 24mpg 11.7ppg 4.1aspg 2.8rbpg 1.1stls while keeping his turnovers down at 1.6topg. He has shot well from the field 39.2% from two, 34.2% from three and 83.3% from the FT line. He is able to run offense and can create instant offense.

He's had an impressive career in Europe and his Eurobasket profile reflects that...

Outlook: An explosive playmaker, Mike James is an athletic point-guard with the ability to play both on and off the ball. Mike excelled at Lamar University where he earned First Team All Conference honors as a senior, and was named Southland Conference Tournament MVP while leading the Cardinals to a conference championship and an NCAA tournament appearance. Mike scored at least 25 points in 7 games his senior year, and at least 20 points in 13 games, including a 29 point performance against
Kentucky. As a Junior, Mike scored an NCAA Division I leading 52 points in one game, including 11 three pointers. With deep range, a unique ability to finish at the rim, and the ability to create shots for himself and his teammates, Mike is prepared to thrive at the next level.

Tim Hardaway Jr. (6'6''-G-92, college: Michigan) Jr. had his best game Friday night since returning from a leg injury that sidelined him for more than a month. The New York Knicks needed all of it, too. Hardaway scored 31 points as the Knicks rallied for a 117-115 victory over the Utah Jazz. "I think I'm just getting accustomed to everything, getting my feet wet, getting my rhythm back," he said. "It's one game. It felt good. Came here yesterday with some of the guys.
