Quinn Cook
New Orleans Pelicans (NBA) added to their roster 24-year old point guard Quinn Cook (188-82kg-93, college: Duke). It is actually his comeback to the Pelicans as he has played here before. Cook He just played at Dallas Mavericks. In 5 NBA games he recorded 5.4ppg and 2.4apg this season. Cook also played for another team Canton Charge where in 39 NBA games he averaged impressive 26.0ppg, 4.1rpg, 6.7apg and 1.1spg.
Cook has never been drafted by the NBA.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others he won NCAA championship title in 2015. Cook was also voted HS Washington Post All-Met Player of the Year (the first junior in 30 years to win the award) back in 2010 at his college time.
Cook represented USA at the World Championships U17 in Hamburg (Germany) seven years ago. His team won Gold and his stats at that event were 8 games: 7.5ppg, 3.0rpg, Assists-1 (7.4apg), 1.3spg, FGP: 37.0%, 3PT: 42.3%.
Cook has played previously for Cleveland Cavaliers.
He attended Duke University until 2015 and it is his second season as a professional player.
The scouts decsribe him following way: Has the quickness and athleticism to finish in the lane against bigger opponents ... can finish in the paint with either hand and also has an effective floater.
Solid floor general with the skill set to be one of the top point guards.
Pass-first guard with the ability to break down defenses off the dribble ... creates scoring opportunities for his teammates with excellent court vision and the ability to deliver passes from a variety of angles
A crafty scorer with the quickness and athleticism to finish in the lane against bigger opponents ... can finish in the paint with either hand and also has an effective floater
Has developed into a strong perimeter shooter from beyond the three-point line ... also possesses a nice pull-up jumper off the dribble
Greatly improved on the defensive end.
Has the ability to harass opposing point guards in the full court
A very good rebounder from the point guard position
Plays with great energy and emotion ... can ignite the team and the crowd with passing or scoring ability and defensive effort

D'Angelo Russell(6'5''-SG-96, college: Ohio St.) has undergone arthroscopic surgery on his left knee. The procedure was performed by Dr. Riley Williams III at the Hospital for Special Surgery.
